Polar Bear is edited!

I have now finished editing "Life, Love, and a Polar Bear Tattoo" in preparation for releasing it for free on my web site. I'm SO happy with it, I really am.

No new Aardvark today since today was all about Polar Bear, but there'll be three more this week. I'm happy with how they're going.

I've been off-line quite a bit the last few days, so I'm mega behind with my blog reading. I will try to get caught up forthwith. :)

A quick question: would you read a full novel if it were available for free but only electronically? :)

Heather

EDITED TO ADD: Thanks, all. I think I will be releasing it both electronically and on paper. Soon, by Dec 31st, Polar Bear will be free! :)

Depends on the subject and style I suppose. I'm not at all adverse to reading books on the computer, and free is always a good thing. IMHO :)

I wish I had a kindle. I spend so much time hunched over my laptop, the idea of doing it as a way of "curling up with a book" just doesn't appeal. I'm not opposed to digital reading per se. I'm just opposed to spending all my time with a hot lap.

It would depend on the subject. I woldn't read a soap opera, but I would read sci-fi, fantasy,,, etc.

To answer your question : I definitely would (if I like the book, of course, just as with any other book form). In fact, I already did. =)

Even though I'm putting my own online, I can't read a novel that way. There is something about that book, the feel of the page, the print, and the smell of it. I just can't snuggle under the blankets with an online one.

Hope this philosophy doesn't apply to readers of my book online...

I'm definitely hung up on the book itself. I find it hard to read more than a couple of pages on any electronic device.
