Great first week of January!

If the whole of 2009 goes this well, this will be the best year I've ever had!

The diet and weight loss stuff is going great. It's insane to me that the Wii Fit is succeeding where training for a marathon didn't, but it is. I'm down nearly a pound since Sunday. AND I'm having a great time with it as well.

I've been 100% solid with the No S Diet this week, and I think that's helping too. I was at a meeting Wednesday night, sitting in front of a bowl of chips for two hours, and wasn't even remotely tempted by them. Lovely! And now the weekend's coming and I can have a treat or two. :)

The final edit/polish of 'Raoul' is going really well as well. A few scenes have been slower, of course, which is just fine since they needed the time, but overall it's been flying past. I was hoping to be done by the end of January, but my tracking spreadsheet estimates I'll be done by the 15th at my current pace. Awesome. Then I have to put together its queries and it'll be heading out to agents.

Usually while working on one book it's all I can think about. At the moment, oddly, I think about Raoul during the day and at night the new one's key scenes run through my head. It's working, though, and if there's one thing I've learned about writing (and life, let's face it) it's not to mess with stuff that's working. And both books are working. I'm thrilled with Raoul, and the new one (codename Aardvark) is going to be something special.

And as if that all weren't good enough, one of my favourite agents (tied with Janet Reid for first place) just mentioned the free giveaway of "Life, Love, and a Polar Bear Tattoo" on his blog. My heart just about stopped beating when I saw my name in his blog post. :)

I do want to do some more substantial blog posts, but when I spend all day with Raoul I find I don't want to use more words in the evening. But I will try. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!
Heather

Congrats on the blog mention! I hope your novel gets a lot of reads. I just downloaded it, so I will let you know what I think.

Also, good job on the No S Diet. I have found since I gave up soda, my craving for junk food has gone waaaaaaay down.

Awesome news about the blog mention!

I am increasingly interested in the No S Diet...the only concern for me is that I take medicine that messes with my blood sugar, so snacks are kind of vital sometimes. I should read up on the site--I can't be the only one.

I have been browsing online greater than three hours lately, yet I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours. It is pretty price sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
