Some random geekiness...
I read 30,722 words of the 'leftover scenes' this morning in 2 hours. This averages out to 256 words per minute. Since I've been clocked at 1200 wpm in 'normal' reading, this is actually somewhat slow. I don't skip words in 'normal' reading, but I guess I don't put as much attention on each and every word as I do reading my own stuff.
Today's work went beautifully - I have finished Seven's edit! I'll now leave it to rest until Monday and then re-read it once more, and then it goes to the crit group. Nerve-wracking but delightful at the same time!
Writing Project: "Seven"'s edit
Time Planned: 2 hours in the morning, "until it's done" in the afternoon
Time Spent: 5 hours and 20 minutes
Favourite Part: feeling nervous on my character's behalf while re-reading a particularly tense scene
Exercise: 15 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes weights (including the assisted pullup machine)
One Fun Thing I Did Today: Spent the afternoon at Starbucks with my laptop finishing the book (I tend to start and end projects there, and I usually go once a week), bid on two skirts on eBay
