I see what you're doing there, procrastination!

So, my 101 in 1001 list has been no issue for months. Now, when I'm less than 6000 words from the end of editing Raoul, suddenly I feel the need to revamp the list. I nearly went off to Starbucks today with the list to spend time analyzing each item and deciding what to keep. And then, of course, the list will need to be filled in again if I've lost too many items, and reformatted, and...

I dislike ending a book because I'm always so connected by now to the characters and situations, and I won't have them to think about any more once I stop. Instead, I'll have to find the next book's characters and situations, which is the toughest part for me.

So, the list will NOT be modified until after Raoul is complete. Take THAT, procrastination! Take a knitting needle right in the eye! (ew.)

Nice way to prioritize. Good luck with Raoul!

Hahaha, that cracks me up. I do things like this, too. Something reaaaaaally important comes up, so I distract myself by doing something else that maybe needs to get done, but not really. But I suddenly can't live until it's finished. Like reorganizing my papers from back in high school or something silly.

101 things in 1001 days- that would be way too much commitment for me- I mean, the sky could fall and I'd be sitting there with rubble on my head feeling guilty because I didn't take a space ship ride before it happened.
But good luck- although I think writing the rough draft of a novel in 52 days beats any to do list.
Love your blog can't wait to read the book.

Lauria, it's amazing how the other stuff can suddenly seem like the most important thing on the planet, isn't it? "I could finish this project that I don't quite know how to do, or I could paint the cat's toenails. Look at them, they're a disgrace!" :)

Tangletale, I love the image. :) And thanks for the props on the 52 days... looking back on it, it's amazing to think it was that fast but at the time I felt slow!
